Business-to-business marketing Students also complete a core of business courses required of all business students—and the University's Foundational Studies Program, which provides the knowledge students need in critical thinking, leadership, and interpersonal and communication skills. Optional minors are offered online in various fields. Each student works with an academic advisor to build a program of study based on the student's professional goals. Entry RequirementsTo be admitted to the online program in marketing, the applicant must be admitted to the University as a degree-seeking student and satisfy the following: 1. An associate of science (A.S.) or associate of arts (A.A.) from Ivy Tech Community College, Vincennes University, or another regionally accredited college or university, with a grade point average of 2.25 or higher; Or a minimum of 60 credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university with a grade point average of 2.25 or higher. 2. Show More Indiana State University and Ivy Tech Community College in Terre Haute have formed a partnership that enables licensed practical/vocational nurses to complete a bachelor of science with a major in nursing via online learning. This program is open to the practicing LPN/LVN who has completed a practical nursing program and holds a current practical/vocational nurse licensure. The program enables the LPN/LVN to transfer all applicable credit to Indiana State University and complete a bachelor degree through a combination of online courses offered by Ivy Tech and Indiana State University. Selected courses may be satisfied entirely by ISU departmental challenge exams (credit by examination) and course equivalency exams. Clinicals are arranged in the student's community. On-campus visits are not required. Graduates are awarded a bachelor of science with a major in nursing from Indiana State University, and are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) for entry into practice as a registered nurse. Entry Requirements1. Current unrestricted Indiana LPN/LVN license or equivalent in the geographical location where the student will be doing his/her preceptorship or clinical practicum. NOTE: An applicant may only be admitted to the University if the ten (10) nursing prerequisites are completed and the transcripts are housed with the Admissions Office. The applicant must have an official LPN/LVN license number to complete the online University application. 2. A minimum of 2.75 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) on the ten (10) nursing prerequisites ONLY. 3. Completion of a practical nursing program. Note: The application of a graduate from a practical nursing program that is not state accredited will be evaluated on an individual basis. Credits earned at another college or university will be evaluated on an individual basis in accordance with the University and nursing program policies. Individuals who have a current active LPN/LVN license but have no college credit will be evaluated on an individual basis. Upon successful completion of Phase I, students will be considered for admission to the nursing major LPN/LVN-BS Track after meeting the following criteria. Admission may be competitive. 1. The following courses must be successfully challenged through department credit by examination before application to the nursing program is accepted: Nursing 106, 224, 328, and 330. 2. Upon receipt of an e-mail letter of acceptance from ISU's Nursing Program, the LPN/LVN may enroll in Nursing 208 and Nursing 304. 3.
