Northwest Nazarene University allows registered nurses educated with Associate Degrees or Diplomas in nursing to broaden their education as well as increase their career with a Baccalaureate degree. This degree completion program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The program is designed to: - Eliminate barriers and maximize credit for previous education. - Can be completed in as little as five semesters. - Ideal for nurses with work and/or family responsibilities and is tailored for non-traditional learner needs. - Features small classes, accessible faculty, and an asynchronous cohort model. Students generally take from 6 to 9 credit hours per semester and are considered full-time students. Entry RequirementsApplicants to the RN to Bachelor of Science, Nursing Program must complete the following prerequisites prior to applying for admission to the program: 1. Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution (or to be completed by the end of the semester in which the applicant applies). 2. Cumulative GPA of 2.75* or higher (admission GPA will be taken from the most recent official transcript). 3. With classes online and in Nampa or Boise, you're able to select the program that works best for you. Everything is the same, except the delivery method. This is an intense 16-month program. You will take up to six courses during each 15-week semester; two simultaneously. The typical course will last for five weeks.
