The program prepares these teachers to employ diverse and effective instructional practices to enrich, extend, and accelerate the standard curriculum for gifted students, and to be collaborative instructional leaders who are knowledgeable, effective, reflective, and responsive to equity and diversity for gifted students. Upon completion of the M.Ed. program, graduates will qualify for the North Carolina Standard Professional 2 (SP2) teaching license in Special Education: Academically or Intellectually Gifted.
