Nurse Educator Entry Requirements1. Baccalaureate Degree in nursing from a nationally accredited college oruniversity. 2. An undergraduate Grade Point Average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for Regular Admission Status and 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for Conditional Admission Status. 3. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores of at least 290 for Regular Admission Status and at least 284 for Conditional Admission Status. 4. Current, unencumbered, unrestricted, registered nursing license in Louisiana. 5. Successful completion of a basic statistics course and a physical assessment course (usually done in undergraduate nursing studies). 6. A minimum of one year of clinical experience before enrolling in a clinical nursing course for all concentrations except the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Concentration which requires you to have two years of clinical experience. 7. Malpractice Insurance, which you will need to provide documentation of prior to enrolling in a clinical course for all concentrations. 8. Two letters of recommendation for graduate studies.
