Show More The rapidly-evolving global marketplace of today is highly competitive; it demands a new kind of leadership. The MBA programs at Golden Gate University's Ageno School of Business are designed to give students the skills and knowledge needed to become a successful MBA graduate in this new business environment. Entry RequirementsFor admission to degree programs you must: Hold an earned bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited US institution or the equivalent from a recognized foreign (outside the US) institution; Demonstrate academic and professional capability to study at the graduate level; Possess quantitative, writing, and computing skills needed to succeed in a competitive and dynamic environment. Applicants to the master of business administration degree program are required to take the GMAT. Some exceptions to this requirement exist. Show More The bachelor of science in business degree is designed to prepare students for success at any level, whether they choose to go directly into the working world or pursue a master's degree. Specialized concentration programs help hone students' skills in specific aspects of business, including accounting, finance, human resource management, information technology, international business, marketing, operations and supply chain management, and public adminsitration. With this education, our graduates are prepared for whatever path they choose to pursue after graduation. Because many of our courses are taught by local professionals who are actively working in the field, our students also obtain a vast array of business contacts that can help them get a job and get ahead once they graduate. These connections, paired with GGU's focus on equipping students with practical skills, not just theoretical knowledge, means that our graduates are workplace-ready. That's why so many employers come to us with job openings: they know that Golden Gate University alumni are ready to come in and make a difference. Another benefit of our BSB degree is that we offer guidance for students who wish to start their own companies. Many of our adjunct faculty are entrepeneurs who can guide students through their unique experiences of starting their own businesses. While there is no formula for success in entrepeneurship, a little guidance along the way can make all the difference, and thanks to the small teacher-to-student ratio at GGU, many of our students form bonds with professors that last far beyond their time with us. Entry RequirementsTo be considered for admission to undergraduate programs, you should have a community college, college, or university cumulative grade point average of 2.00 (C) or better with 24 or more semester units of prior transferable credit. If 23 or fewer semester units have been earned, the application may be considered with the following: a high school grade point average of 3.00 (B) or higher; a resume showing three or more years of professional work experience; a statement of purpose stating why Golden Gate University is the right institution to meet your personal and professional goals; and, in some cases, participate in an interview (by telephone or in person) with the dean of Undergraduate Programs. If you do not meet the admission guidelines mentioned above, you may be admitted conditionally with the approval of the dean, or his/her designee. Undergraduate students who are conditionally admitted must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 in their first 12 units at Golden Gate University. Proof of achieving Golden Gate University's English Language Proficiency Admission Requirements is required of all graduate applicants who are non-native speakers of English. The English proficiency tests we accept are TOEFL, IELTS and PTE. We also have an agreement with ELS (www.els.edu) Other Fees |

Show More This degree is designed for students who aspire to become financial planners, investment advisers, or money managers, or who may be interested in one of the many elements of this broad and rapidly-growing field. By pursuing a financial planning education at Golden Gate University, students will move into the 21st century equipped with the latest skills, with appropriate professional credentials, and with advanced academic degrees. This course of study also satisfies the educational requirements necessary for the premier Certified Financial Planner™ designation. The work of the financial planner is best viewed through a "quality of life" lens: How can one assist one's clients in achieving their life goals and realizing their dreams? There are important technical issues to be addressed: What tax structure is best suited for my client? What asset allocation provides the desired risk/return profile? Many of the critical questions have to do with the kind of life the client envisions, and how the client's emotional and psychological predispositions facilitate or obstruct the development of successful financial plans. It is the overarching objective of the Master of Science in Financial Planning to ensure that our graduates have both the technical skills and the relationship skills needed to create and deliver financial strategies that will support their clients' progress towards their most important life goals. Online courses allow students to pursue a strictly online financial planning degree. Students can apply for admission, sign up for classes, communicate with professors and other students, and access all course information online at any time. This allows you to study financial planning from the comfort of your home, rather than having to find a financial planning school nearby that fits in your schedule. Show More The Master of Science in Human Resource Management degree program is one of 42 Human Resource Management programs worldwide recognized as being fully aligned with the curriculum guidebook of the Society for Human Resource Management® (SHRM®). Our students learn how to consider the perspectives of both employees and employers, the causes and effects of ineffectively managing people, the importance of employee capabilities, and methodologies for change management. They look at trends that managers and employees are likely to face in the future, and how to monitor legal requirements in dealing with employees. Our students gain skills that benefit them on the job, and in life. By studying Human Resource Management, students are able to apply concepts and principles to on the job situations. Our students learn this skill in the best possible way: with a combination of course work led by professionals in the field and interactions with peers who bring real-world experience through high level discussions and case studies. Though not a requirement, some students in the program choose to elect an internship in Human Resources as an elective which allows them to gain meaningful "hands on" experience. In some cases these internship opportunities parlay into a job offer upon completion of the degree.
