Students can choose between two emphases areas: General Emphasis or Early Childhood Special Education Emphasis. This program requires four core courses as well as 15 hours of additional special education coursework. You must also complete nine hours of advisor-approved electives. Students may select either the thesis or non-thesis option. The thesis option requires 30 hours of coursework, a written thesis or graduate project, and an oral defense of the thesis or graduate project.
