Show More The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is a practice-focused degree. The focus of the DNP is to prepare experts specialized in advanced nursing practice, as opposed to the PhD which has research as its core. The practice-focused DNP graduate will be prepared to develop evidenced-based practice solutions to complex problems in clinical practice and within the health care system. The Clarion and Edinboro Universities’ DNP Program is a 34-credit program that offers specialty electives in advanced clinical practice and clinical nursing education. Courses can be taken part-time over 6 semesters in an online format. Students will be admitted in cohorts of 27 and begin courses in the summer. The program is designed to be flexible, affordable, and professionally rewarding. The online, part-time structure accommodates employment as an advanced practice nurse while pursuing the DNP, thus easing the financial burden. Entry RequirementsMaster of Science in Nursing degree; National certification as an advanced practice nurse; Unencumbered, current license to practice as an advanced practice nurse in the state where internship hours will take place;

Show More The Clarion University College of Business Administration offers its MBA classes online for part-time students. These online MBA classes are designed for students who have completed all business foundation/prerequisite courses. Students can be admitted to the part-time MBA without having completed all prerequisite foundation courses. Students will not be permitted to register for online graduate courses unless they meet the specific prerequisites for the course. The program offers these features and benefits:
Convenience Entry RequirementsCompletion of a baccalaureate degree program with a minimum cumulative quality-point average (QPA) of 2.75 (based on a 4.00 system), a minimum cumulative QPA of 2.75 in the last 60 hours of the baccalaureate program, or the completion of 15 or more semester hours of graduate work at an accredited institution with a minimum QPA of 3.00. Applicants must submit official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate course work. Starting October 1, 2013, a minimum total score of 450 on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the relative equivalent score on the GRE (Click HERE for the GRE to GMAT calculator). Only applicants for the part-time online (PTOL) program may request a waiver of the GMAT requirement. Those applicants to the part-time online program with advanced professional degrees or five or more years of post-baccalaureate, professional level, work experience may submit a formal request to waive the GMAT requirement. Again, the GMAT waiver is available only to students in the part-time on-line program (more information is available from the M.B.A. office). A résumé showing prior work experience and/or current employment is required with the application. Communication and leadership skills as documented in the résumé, letters of reference, and/or by an acceptable score on the analytical writing assessment (AWA) of the GMAT. Three letters of recommendation submitted on or with a completed copy of the Clarion University Graduate Program Applicant Recommendation/Evaluation Form.
A completed application form and the required $30 application fee. Applicants may be required to submit additional materials deemed important in assessing potential for success in graduate business studies or to submit to an interview before the admission committee. The M.B.A. program has business foundation course requirements. Students can be admitted to the part-time M.B.A. without having completed all prerequisite foundation courses, but they will not be permitted to register for any particular on-line graduate course unless they meet the specific prerequisites for the course they would like to take.
