Resume A resume or curriculum vitae. Statement of Goals A statement of your goals reflecting the academic, professional, and personal goals you would like to achieve through your work with Aspen University. Your goals statement will be evaluated by the Admissions Committee as part of the application process. The statement of goals should be between 300 - 500 words. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree Transcripts Evidence of a baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from a school accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.Official transcripts of all previous baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate study must be sent directly to Aspen University by the granting institution(s). Registered Nurse Licensure Current licensure as a registered nurse in the United States or Canada Nursing Experience A minimum of one year of nursing experience completed within the past five years (Students for whom an exception is made will be advised to take core courses the first year of study while working to meet the experience requirement). Military Documentation (Optional) A Military ID or DD214 for those who qualify for the military discount program. Transfer Credit Evaluation (Optional) Students who have earned college credit may submit a transfer credit evaluation report with corresponding course descriptions, and official transcripts from accredited institutions in order to determine which credits may be applied toward the requirements of a program at Aspen University. Show More The Brookline College RN to BSN completion program was developed in response to the Institute of Medicine’s (IOM) recommendation that health care organizations increase their number of Bachelor’s-prepared RN staff to 80% by 2020*. Designed for registered nurses who hold Associate degrees, this online BSN degree builds on what you already know and provides the Bachelor’s-level knowledge, skills and decision-making proficiencies needed in today’s more complex health care environment. Whether you need to complete your BSN as part of a job requirement or to advance your professional goals, you will enhance your skills and job marketability through a higher nursing degree and pave the pathway to higher education and advanced practice. This program allows nurses to further their education by building on previous education and experience and maximize the use of previously acquired college credits, creating the shortest possible path to a BSN degree. Choosing the right program is essential as you become prepared to enhance your options in the marketplace and to consider graduate study. We offer both full-time and part-time programs; the program can be completed in as little as 10 months but no longer than 16 months, based on the number of transfer credits that may be applied from previous coursework.
Entry RequirementsIn order to apply to Brookline College, it is our policy that a student must be a citizen of the United States or an eligible non-citizen as classified by the Department of Homeland Security. In addition, applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of admission and posses a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent). If a prospective student is less than 18 years of age, they may be permitted to enroll if they obtain parent or legal gaurdian signature of approval or demonstrate that htey are otherwise covered under state emancipation statutes.
Non-immigrant Students * Proof of English Language Proficiency All non-immigrant student applicants must provide Brookline College with proof of English language skills to pursue enrollment with the College. Non-immigrant students can either: a) provide, in form of official transcripts successful completion of coursework from an accredited high school or English language school certified with SEVP, b) take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) test to determine their language skills in English and meet the minimum score requirements. A minimum score of 550 on the paper-based and 84 on the internet-based TOEFL test is required as proof of proficiency in English. This test must be submitted directly from the testing organization to the campus, sent to the attention of the DSO, where the non-immigrant student is applying. Unless the primary language of the non-immigrant student is English, and the College can confirm, then the student is not required to take the TOEFL test. There is no limited amount of times a student can take a test. TOEFL test scores are valid for two (2) years after the test date. The official scores become part of the permanent student record once the student has enrolled with the College. * Financial Affidavit or Proof of Financial Support
Bank statements of letters from sponsors showing said evidence that tuition can be covered including living expenses for a minimum of one (1) year. * Proof of High School or Secondary School Graduation * Transfer of Credits from Postsecondary School
