Show More Our MSW programs provide the learner multiple opportunities to examine the challenges, contributions, constraints, and contexts for critical social work practice. Congruent with the School's Mission Statement, critical social work practice is rooted in a vision of social justice. The program nurtures accountable and oppositional education, research, and practice in the advancement of decolonization, Indigenous-focused, anti-racist, feminist and queer (among other) social justice struggles. The program does not offer a clinical focus. Entry Requirements• Applicants for the MSW Advanced program must have a BSW degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of two years of full-time successful practice in one or more human service settings. Relevant experience for paid or unpaid work experience in human services can include, but is not limited to: social services, health, education, housing, income and economic development, justice and public safety, community organization and/or community development and/or advocacy work. Relevant human service work experience can include direct service to people that enhances people’s development and well-being or the planning, organization, development and administration of human service programs. Practicum experience is NOT included in calculating human service experience.
