Online Business Management B A Top Up Degree :: Accredited Universities

The BA (Hons) Business (Human Resource Management) (Top-Up) is designed as a top-up for holders of the BTEC HND Business (Management), or equivalent, to progress to full undergraduate honours.

Students will develop skills and understanding specific to Strategic HRM and the role of the HR function in a wide range of organisational contexts. They will also develop a range of transferable skills that will aid them to pursue a business career or further relevant study.

1. BTEC Level 5 HND Diploma in Business (Management), or equivalent.

2. English ability equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.0.

Admissions requirements: 240 SCQF credits/ 120 ECTS credits at level 8, or equivalent, in an appropriate business and management subject area (i.e. basic understanding of principles in financial accounting, marketing and operations). English language requirement IELTS 6.0 with no element below 5.5, or equivalent.

Mature applicants who do not meet the standard entry requirements will be considered on a case-by-case basis taking into account RPL and APEL as appropriate.

Educational Business Management is a rapidly developing profession and this programme has been developed in response open to those in business management, administration and leadership roles working within, or supporting, the education sector. It aims to develop business managers for education who will be capable of leadership and management and contribute to the strategic development of educational organisations.

The course is delivered as a part time distance learning route over two years upwards at advanced entry through a blended learning model that includes online learning, electronic communication and face-to-face sessions delivered a Cheshire (2 days per unit, typically once a term). Assessment is typically by written assignments and dissertation, which can be focused around individual priorities and work-based projects.

The business world is increasingly internationally-focused. This part-time Top-up courses enables candidate to top up candidate's previous study or experience to a BA (Hons) in International Business & Management degree.

The Top-up degree is equivalent to the final year of a full-time Honours degree. As this course is delivered part- time, it will take candidate approximately 18 months to complete. This course utilises candidate's previous experience and education in the field of Business and Management and adds a global perspective.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for this Top-up degree are the successful completion of a HND or a Foundation degree in a related subject area or equivalent. A mix of academic qualifications and work experience in a business related field will also be considered.

GCSEs
This course requires a minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A* to C, including Maths and English or appropriate Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent.

Numeracy and literacy
We need to be sure that candidate can express themselves in written English and have basic numeracy skills. We look at Level 2 of the National Qualifications
