Online International Business Management Top Up Degree :: Accredited Universities

The business world is increasingly internationally-focused. This part-time Top-up courses enables candidate to top up candidate's previous study or experience to a BA (Hons) in International Business & Management degree.

The Top-up degree is equivalent to the final year of a full-time Honours degree. As this course is delivered part- time, it will take candidate approximately 18 months to complete. This course utilises candidate's previous experience and education in the field of Business and Management and adds a global perspective.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for this Top-up degree are the successful completion of a HND or a Foundation degree in a related subject area or equivalent. A mix of academic qualifications and work experience in a business related field will also be considered.

All applications are considered individually. If candidate's application suggests candidate do not have the relevant qualifications and skills for this top-up degree but could enter the course at a different level, we will advise candidate of this during the application process.

GCSEs
This course requires a minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A* to C, including Maths and English or appropriate Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent.

Numeracy and literacy
We need to be sure that candidate can express themselves in written English and have basic numeracy skills. We look at Level 2 of the National Qualifications

Framework which includes GCSEs and Key Skills Level 2. If candidate do not have formal qualifications to this level or have alternatives, we may still be able to consider candidate's application – please contact the ask BU Enquiry Service to find out more.

We welcome applicants studying the Cambridge Pre-U Diploma or a combination of Pre-U subjects and A-levels.

Welsh Baccalaureate
The Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Diploma is welcomed alongside A-levels or equivalent, to meet the overall course tariff.

You will develop a critical understanding of the forces influencing the international hospitality industry, be able to evaluate the role of core management functions, their application and contribution to quality and performance as well as develop strategic plans that can respond to the changing demands within the international hospitality environment.

This top up Bachelors degree can help you to stand out in this competitive and continually expanding industry – research has shown that qualifications really make a difference to career progression in the hospitality arena. If you already hold an HND, Foundation degree, or have significant experience in hospitality, you can gain a full degree in 1-2 years with this online course.

An HND or Foundation degree in a relevant subject
A minimum of 6 months working in the hospitality industry on a full time basis.

This dynamic major focuses on current international topics and issues, covering the fields of political theory, international relations theory, foreign policy, strategic studies and political history.

You will explore national and regional security in broad contexts, including military, politics and economics. Political and regional globalisation, with an emphasis on Asia, is explored in-depth. Issues of trade, environmental change, resource management and human rights are further topics you will study.

This major can also help you to develop your skills in problem solving and written and oral communications.

International relations is offered as part of the Bachelor of Arts. You can enhance your studies with a secondary major or choose from a range of elective units to support your career goals.

You can also study International Relations as part of the Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts double degree.

When coupled with Business Law or Economics you can complete this major as part of our Bachelor of Arts or our Bachelor of Commerce. Your choice will determine your core units.
