Show More The program has been designed to meet the needs of students who require an Indigenous Knowledges, Australian History or Australian Studies Major as a foundation for further study or research. The program is also designed for those who work in, or wish to work in, the public sector, in business, the community, or service organisations where an understanding of Indigenous Knowledges in the broader Australian and global setting is required. Depending on which of the Professional Majors students choose to undertake, knowledge and skills will be developed with the aim of enabling graduates to apply a critical understanding of: Indigenous Knowledges: Aboriginal cultures and societies and their relationships with Australian and international contexts across a range of social, economic and political settings. Australian Studies: current organisational and social theories in the analysis of Aboriginal issues as they intersect and operate within the context of contemporary Australian social and political systems. Australian History: the complexities of Australian society and culture prior to and following European settlement, and the impact of historical policies and practices on Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians in contemporary Australian societies. Entry RequirementsTo be eligible for selection, applicants are required to have: Completed the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE); and completed 200 credits of subjects; achieved a grade of C* or better in the Personal Learning Plan, 20 credits of literacy, 10 credits of numeracy and the Research Project at Stage 2; achieved a grade C- or better in an additional 60 credits at Stage 2;
obtained a competitive ATAR.
