The Business Administration degree provides an excellent foundation of knowledge in accounting, sales and marketing, operations management, human resource management, and banking and finance. This solid foundation provides students an integrated understanding of business and economics. Their expertise prepares students to find jobs as a manager, account manager, small business developer, human resource assistant, or sales manager. The New Media Marketing emphasis teaches students what is going on in today's marketing world. Students will learn how to use sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to further visibility and increase business. Students will also be taught how to recognize opportunities for utilization of new technologies. These skills are vital to help them adapt to the changing world after they graduate. Entry RequirementsStudents seeking admission to the Bachelor of Science in Health Science program must be a graduate of an associate’s degree level, health sciences program (i.e., medical assisting, respiratory therapy, nurse education, surgical technology, etc.) from an accredited institution or have completed sufficient college credit to attain the equivalent of an associate’s degree in the discipline of health science. Prospective students should also have completed an appropriate number of credit hours of general education (e.g., 15 semester credit hours and 22.5 quarter credit hours). Applicants for admission must have graduated from an accredited high school, private secondary school, or have completed the equivalent (GED).
International Applicants Applicants to an undergraduate associate’s or bachelor’s program must provide an official or attested transcript of completed high school work translated into English and certified to be at least equivalent to the credential required by the college in its admissions criteria. This policy also applies to any student with previous education completed outside of the United States. 2.Applicants must provide evidence of English proficiency in one of the following ways: (i) minimum TOEFL score of 550 or 213 computer based or 79 IBT based or (ii) 6.0 on IELTS. Entry Requirements● Applicants must submit a two-page personal statement that describes their past academic work, reasons for pursuing theMAS and the skills that prepare them for this degree. ● A three-page essay that assesses their knowledge of media theory and critical analysis skills. The subject of the essay will be included in the online Graduate Admissions Application. ● While letters of recommendation are optional, applicants may include two or three letters in their application. Recommenders should be former teachers or supervisors, addressing the applicant's academic performance, motivation and character. ● An interview via Skype will be conducted before final admission decisions are made.
International Applicants 1. One of the following results on a standardized English proficiency test: (a) 100 (iBT) or 600 (PBT) or higher on the TOEFL; (b) 7.0 or higher on the IELTS. The MTESOL program will also accept a 68 or higher on the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTEA). 2. A grade of "A" in all Advanced 2 classes in the ASU American English and Culture Program (AECP) . 3. One of the following from a regionally accredited college/university in the US: (a) a bachelor's degree or higher; (b) at least 90 semester hours of undergraduate coursework with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale; (c) at least 12 semester hours of graduate coursework with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. A minimum score of 55 on the Test of Spoken English (TSE) or Speaking Proficiency English Assessment Kit (SPEAK) is also required for teaching assistants.
