With courses such as Contemporary Business Law and Finance for Business, the Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Service Sector* can help you elevate your standing in the retail, gaming or resort industries. The Bachelor of Science in Business (BSB) undergraduate degree program is designed to prepare graduates with the requisite knowledge, skills, and values to effectively apply various business principles and tools in an organizational setting. The BSB foundation is designed to bridge the gap between theory and practical application, while examining the areas of accounting, critical thinking and decision-making, finance, business law, management, marketing, organizational behavior, research and evaluation, and technology. Students are required to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the undergraduate business curricula through an integrated topics course. The Service Sector concentration focuses the student on the service environment. The program emphasizes skill development in strategic management, marketing, supply management, product and brand management, service operations, merchandising, and personnel management unique to the service industry, which includes retail, hospitality, lodging, restaurant, and gaming management. Upon completion of this program students will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to be leaders in the service industry. The Retail Management track offers coursework focused on topics such as retail operations, supply management, retail personnel management and product and brand management. The Hospitality Management track offers coursework focused on topics such as trends and emerging issues in hospitality, lodging management and hospitality management. Entry Requirements- Have earned an acceptable high school diploma, GED® equivalent, California High School Proficiency Examination certificate or foreign secondary school equivalent. If you currently don’t meet this requirement, you can arrange to take the GED through your state’s GED administrator’s office or search for the nearest GED testing center. - Be at least 16 years of age at the time of application if applying to an associate degree program. - Meet work experience requirements or have access to an organizational environment, depending on your selected degree program, in order to successfully complete program objectives and apply concepts you learn in our courses. Please contact an Enrollment Representative to learn if your program has such a requirement. - Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or hold an approved, valid visa if residing in the United States. - Not have been expelled from a previous institution. - Complete all required forms for admission as well as submit official test scores and official transcripts from all colleges and universities you’ve attended.

Modes of Study Students can take between 3 and 5 years to complete the course. Students are supplied with a study pack in the form of text books and CD-ROMs; candidate have assignments to submit and exams to sit each year. Examinations can be taken either at Brunel University or in the country candidate are resident in. We have an extensive network of organisations (Universities, Colleges and British Council Offices) throughout the world who will provide invigilation services. The cost of invigilation away from Brunel is candidate's responsibility. Examinations are held in May each year.
