Entry RequirementsComplete a baccalaureate degree with an upper division major in nursing from a program accredited by a nationally recognized nursing accrediting authority (CCNE or NLNAC).
Complete MAT with minimum score of 376; OR, alternate test: GRE with minimum score of Verbal Reasoning 140, Demonstrate a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for the baccalaureate nursing degree. Hold current RN license to practice professional nursing in the United States. a. FNP must hold current valid RN license to practice professional nursing in Kansas. Complete an undergraduate course in Health Assessment, Pathophysiology and Statistics (3 credit hour course each) with a grade of "B" or better. Demonstrate aptitude and attitude for advanced professional nursing studies. Additional Admission Requirements for Family Nurse Practitioner Track: One full year of clinical experience (20-80 hours) as a practicing registered nurse.
