Entry Requirements

Entry to the distance offering of this course is restricted to applicants who are:

Qualified paramedics employed full-time with an ambulance service and who have completed a minimum of two years service; OR

Full-time medics with the Australian Defence Forces (ADF) who have completed the Basic Medical Assistance course and have two years post-qualification experience

The curriculum contains information on management, advanced clinical care, and current issues and trends in healthcare, exposing students to the latest developments in respiratory care. The program includes a general education component, a foundation in cardiopulmonary sciences, and coursework in the respiratory care specialties of acute and critical care, emergency care, perinatal and pediatrics, research and Evidence Based Medicine (EMB), patient education, case management and cardiopulmonary diagnostics.

Entry Requirements

Students seeking admission to the Bachelor of Science in Health Science program must be a graduate of an associate’s degree level, health sciences program (i.e., medical assisting, respiratory therapy, nurse education,
surgical technology, etc.) from an accredited institution or have completed sufficient college credit to attain the equivalent of an associate’s degree in the discipline of health science. Prospective students should also have
completed an appropriate number of credit hours of general education (e.g., 15 semester credit hours and 22.5 quarter credit hours).

International Applicants

Applicants to an undergraduate associate’s or bachelor’s program must provide an official or attested transcript of completed high school work translated into English and certified to be at least equivalent to the credential required by the college in its admissions criteria. This policy also applies to any student with previous education completed outside of the United States.

2.Applicants must provide evidence of English proficiency in one of the following ways: (i) minimum TOEFL score of 550 or 213 computer based or 79 IBT based or (ii) 6.0 on IELTS.

The School of Education & Social Services' online M.S.W.—with a concentration in advanced clinical practice—prepares you to engage, assess, intervene with and evaluate individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities.

Graduates are prepared to be leaders in advanced clinical social work practice serving all populations, in particular the elderly, military personnel, members of the workforce, and peoples and groups that experience discrimination and oppression.

The Master of Social Work program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

Entry Requirements

Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution with a broad liberal arts preparation and at least 21 semester hours in social and behavioral sciences and 6 credits in each of the following: the natural sciences, the humanities and visual and performing arts, and quantitative reasoning. A course in statistics is also required and must have this course completed by June 30th.

If you do not earned a GPA of 3.0 , then you must submit GRE or MAT score.

International applicants

This is a generic programme suitable for all healthcare professionals. The main learning environment is the student's own professional practice and attendance requirements are consequently minimal.
This pathway is a generic route to an MSc, in which you as a healthcare professional can use your own professional practice as the ‘learning environment’. Entry Requirements

The Clinical Sciences course is intended for practitioners in professional practice including those with an undergraduate qualification in medicine, chiropractic, physiotherapy, osteopathy, exercise science, sport science, nursing or other related degrees. Other undergraduate degrees will be considered depending on the level of human biological sciences completed in the degree programme. Applicants must have a recognised first qualification in line with the admissions regulations. Credit for prior learning is possible on approval by the Pathway Leader. Admission is at the discretion of the Pathway Leader.

Applicants for whom English is not their first language, must offer evidence of qualifications in written and spoken English. Acceptable qualifications are IELTS (academic) 6.0 and TOEFL 80 (internet based) or 550 (paper based), or direct equivalents.
