It is limited to students who have completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Second Language Teaching or equivalent. Students must also have at least an undergraduate degree. The MA involves writing a thesis of not more than 30,000 words, based on research into an aspect of second language learning or teaching. The thesis is to be completed in one year of full-time study or two years of part-time study. Entry RequirementsTo enter the Master of Arts in Second Language Teaching programme, you will have met the general requirements for admission to a Master of Arts. You will also have a Bachelor of Arts with a major in a language-related discipline (or an equivalent qualification) and have at least one year’s teaching experience in an area related to second language teaching.
