Show More The graduate entry Master of Teaching course is designed to build upon tertiary qualifications and experience, enabling students to complete a teaching qualification in two years. The secondary specialisation requires students to choose from two curriculum (teaching) areas. These curriculum areas are determined by the disciplines undertaken in the student's undergraduate degree. The course aims to build upon existing communication and interaction skills so that the student, on graduating, will feel confident working with pupils of diverse abilities, interests and backgrounds. The course content and integrated practical classroom experience will provide theoretical and practical opportunities for graduates to practise what they learned in a safe and supportive environment. Successful completion of the MTeach places graduates ahead of the competition with a professional teaching qualification that prepares them for teaching, not only in Tasmania, but anywhere in the world. Entry RequirementsAll students must be available to attend unpaid professional experience in an educational setting for a number of weeks each year, totalling 60 days.
