The Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) program produces highly trained engineering technology professionals who work as team members with engineers and scientists. Our graduates apply scientific and engineering knowledge with technical skills to make professional judgments. The Bachelor of Applied Science degree is designed to combine: 1. Specialized vocational and technical course credits earned in an Associate of Applied Science degree, and 2. Credits earned in a planned program of studies that demonstrate a specific area of vocational or technical emphasis This program simplifies transferring credits from technical or vocational institutions, community colleges, and Community College of the Air Force or appropriate military technical coursework. Elective courses are available in power systems, control systems and communications systems. Through the convenience of our 100% online learning environment, you are taught the principles and techniques for designing and evaluating electronic systems and making recommendations regarding their use and modification. Note: You should be prepared to enter MA105 – College Algebra. If this is not the case, developmental math is available. Also, it is expected that you are computer literate and able to install programs, copy files from a disk to the hard drive, move files within directories, and use Word and Excel at a basic level. If you need basic computer skills, you should take CS101 at the beginning of the program.
Electronics Engineering Technology Program Outcomes At the successful completion of the program, you should be able to: Apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools to broadly defined engineering technology activities Apply a knowledge of mathematics, science, electronics engineering and technology to engineering technology problems Conduct, analyze and interpret experiments and apply experimental results to improve processes Identify, analyze and solve broadly defined technical problems Design electronic systems, components or processes for broadly defined problems Function effectively on teams Apply written, oral and graphical communication Address professional, ethical, social and global responsibilities and issues Demonstrate a commitment to quality, timeliness and continuous improvement Entry RequirementsOfficial proof of high school graduation or equivalent received and verified by the Registrar’s office by Day 49 of the first term. If proof of high school graduation is not on file by the first day of the term, a completed Transcript Request Form must be submitted by Day 8 of the first term. All students are required to establish participation as outlined in the Participation and Substantive Interaction Policy within seven (7) days of the term start date.
