The degree provides a strong intellectual foundation in core management principles with an emphasis on leadership development, cross-cultural communication, quantitative reasoning, and team-building. Under the guidance of faculty members with practical experience in their respective areas of expertise, you examine topics such as employee motivation and empowerment, new forms of marketing and advertising, and understanding and implementing sustainable alternatives in managing resources. Students select one of five concentrations on which to focus: human resources management; international business and global management; marketing, advertising and public relations; organizational management and development; or sustainability management and development. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Scores TOEFL scores are required for applicants who did not complete their education in the United States or in a country where the only primary language is English. - Minimum scores are 100 on the Internet-based test, 250 on the computer-based test, or 600 on the paper-based test. - Applicants who fall below these minimums may be selected to undergo additional review of their English language skills through the NYU School of Professional Studies American Language Institute (ALI). - IELTS can be submitted in place of the TOEFL; the recommended minimum score is a 7.0.
