- Applicants need to have completed the equivalent of a US Secondary School

- Applicants will require the equivalent of a 2.5 on a 4.0 grading scale for admission consideration

- Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency as evidenced by:

TOEFL score of 71 and greater, IELTS score of 6.5 and greater, PTE score of 49 and greater, ELS score of 111 and greater, EF score of 107 and greater, and Michigan score of 85 and greater. The TOIEC examination is not accepted.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent (see Alternative/Equivalent Standing below) with a minimum six Grade 12 U/M courses including the following program specific requirements. Typically, a minimum overall average of 70% establishes eligibility for admission consideration; subject to competition individual programs may require higher averages:

• Applicants who have been absent from full-time formal education for a period of ten years or longer may be required to repeat prerequisite subjects to ensure currency of knowledge and preparedness for the program.
• Applicants with prior university or college study must present a minimum CGPA of 2.33 (C+) and be considered 'In Good Standing' with no failures in core prerequisite subjects in order to be considered. Higher CGPA's/averages may be required subject to competition.
• Only applications to the first year of the Nursing program will be considered, and consideration is limited to applicants without prior post-secondary studies in Nursing. Advanced standing for students with prior Nursing studies cannot be considered.

The Sociology Department specializes in six main areas of investigation: criminology and social justice; culture and social relations; population health and wellness; power, privilege and resistance; social development and social inequality; and social policy and practice.

The Sports and Health Sciences degree is a scientific study of human movement and human behavior relative to exercise, fitness, nutrition, health, and wellness. This degree is designed to prepare students to meet challenges in these dynamic and emerging fields of study. Students will engage in core issues and concepts in areas such as anatomy and physiology, nutrition, kinesiology, and exercise programming and testing. An emphasis is placed on biophysical functions, evidence based practice and principles applicable to human movement and performance in physical activity.

All students who enroll in the bachelor's degree program must enroll in COLL100 - Foundations of Online Learning as their first course.
