The Master of Science in Nursing/Master of Health Administration is a dual-degree program designed to provide nurses with a blend of advanced nursing and health care related business skills. Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the Master of Science in Nursing component addresses nursing theory and advanced practice concepts. The Master of Health Administration component focuses on finance, economics, policy, quality improvement, marketing, and strategic planning. Entry Requirements- Have earned an undergraduate degree in a nursing program with an upper-division major in nursing from a regionally accredited or approved nationally accredited college or university, or have earned a comparable degree from a recognized institution outside the United States. Nurses who hold baccalaureate degrees in non-nursing programs from a regionally accredited or approved, nationally accredited college or university must successfully complete the University of Phoenix Nursing Bridge Program. This program enables nurses with baccalaureate degrees in areas other than nursing to complete three courses at the BSN level and then move directly into the MSN curriculum. - Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) as shown on the undergraduate degree posted transcript. - Have a valid, unrestricted, unencumbered RN license from the United States in all states in which you hold an active license. - Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or hold an approved, valid visa if residing in the United States. - Not have been expelled from a previous institution. - Complete all required forms for admission and submit an official undergraduate degree posted transcript.
