Show More In today’s increasingly dynamic and global business environment, the B.S. in Leadership and Management Studies prepares you to utilize a unique blend of knowledge and skills in order to excel in the 21st century workplace. The degree provides a strong intellectual foundation in core management principles with an emphasis on leadership development, cross-cultural communication, quantitative reasoning, and team-building. Under the guidance of faculty members with practical experience in their respective areas of expertise, you examine topics such as employee motivation and empowerment, new forms of marketing and advertising, and understanding and implementing sustainable alternatives in managing resources. Students select one of five concentrations on which to focus: human resources management; international business and global management; marketing, advertising and public relations; organizational management and development; or sustainability management and development. The majority of our graduates enter the corporate world, or advance within it, as managers and business analysts in financial services, insurance, marketing and advertising, media, healthcare, entertainment, and tourism. Others pursue careers in nonprofit fields, including higher education, the arts and philanthropy, and international organizations. Still others choose to become entrepreneurs or to enroll for advanced degrees. Entry RequirementsApplicants must have completed high school.

Evaluation of Foreign Educational Credentials If requested by the Office of Admissions, each foreign transcript must also be evaluated for equivalency to the U.S. educational system for admission and transfer credit purposes. Evaluations are acceptable only from evaluation services recognized by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. Please request a course-by-course evaluation.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Scores TOEFL scores are required for applicants who did not complete their education in the United States or in a country where the only primary language is English. - Minimum scores are 100 on the Internet-based test, 250 on the computer-based test, or 600 on the paper-based test. - Applicants who fall below these minimums may be selected to undergo additional review of their English language skills through the NYU School of Professional Studies American Language Institute (ALI). - IELTS can be submitted in place of the TOEFL; the recommended minimum score is a 7.0.
