Show More The Bachelor of Science in justice studies equips students with a dynamic knowledge of the world’s justice systems and gives them the skills to create meaningful, real-world change through law, policy and social justice. Justice and social inquiry is an innovative social science program examining current social justice issues – such as human rights, domestic violence and immigration – against a backdrop of legal systems, law and culture. Courses explore a wide-variety of topics including racial justice, genocide, serial killers and the way that media, culture, environment, gender and ethnicity impact justice. Students are equipped with the analytical, research, communication and problem-solving skills required to excel in today’s job market. As a part of the nation’s first School of Social Transformation in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, graduates receive interdisciplinary training in ethnic, gender and justice studies, forming the creative, critical and informed global citizens that top organizations around the world desire. This flexible, interdisciplinary degree program prepares graduates for work in law, politics, governmental agencies, social services, international relations, development and business, while simultaneously inspiring the next generation of advocates for a better world. Individual Review All students who don’t meet the above standards will be evaluated through a process called Individual Review. Through this process Undergraduate Admissions will review all available information about a student’s application, carefully considering all aspects of a student’s academic background and accomplishments. Submission of an ACT or SAT test score is highly recommended. In some cases, additional information might be requested.

FHSU graduates are uniquely qualified and prepared to enter one of the many careers related to criminal justice, including state and federal special agents; U.S. Secret Service; U.S. Marshals; customs agents; court administrators; law enforcement agents; security, correction, parole, probation and community correction officers; juvenile intake personnel; and victim services personnel.
