Graduates of the Master of Science in Nursing: Health Care Informatics program may take on roles within an organization such as automating clinical care, building new operational data systems, training health care workers in the use of computer systems, collecting and analyzing data to improve patient care, etc. Graduates of the nursing informatics program may work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, primary care facilities, doctor's offices, insurance companies, pharmacies, technology suppliers, consulting firms, and more.

The program culminates in a capstone course that provides an opportunity for students to develop an evidence-based practice project proposal that addresses a problem, issue, or concern in professional practice. Entry Requirements

CCU sets test scores and grade point averages as our minimum level of acceptance for traditional undergraduate students. Normally, the minimum requirements for admission are:

Students who do not meet these minimum requirements are encouraged to apply and the University will consider their application under a committee review process which may include a personal interview. International Student Requirements

As an international student, you must meet regular entrance requirements and follow standard application procedures. In addition, you will need to demonstrate the ability to understand college-level English. All non-native English speaking undergraduate students must achieve a minimum score of 550 or better on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

If you are admitted on a student visa you must be enrolled for at least twelve semester hours of credit. In order to work off campus, international students must meet with the International Student Coordinator at CCU to obtain permission from the United States Immigration authorities. International students may be eligible for institutional financial aid and awards, but are not eligible for federal financial aid.
