Online delivery This programme is taught via online delivery enabling participation by both national and international students drawn from a range of health related disciplines. You will be supported by highly experienced academic educators with significant experience across a range of professional backgrounds. You should have a good 4-year degree, equivalent to a UK honours degree, preferably at upper 2nd class level or above. Candidates holding the equivalent of a good 2nd class lower degree may also apply. Degree certificates and academic transcripts must be provided. Preferred degree disciplines are Law, Economics, Geology, Petroleum or Mining Engineering, Finance. Work experience in the energy/natural resources industry is an advantage, though it is not a strict requirement for admission to the LLM.

You will explore the principles of health promotion and public health and address current issues in improving health and the prevention of disease including epidemiology. Unlike other programmes, this one is not open to law graduates, but has been designed specifically for those whose first degree is in a healthcare subject such as medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, etc. The programme aims to give you an understanding and appreciation of law and ethics as they apply to professional practice. It will help you understand legal and ethical concepts, terminology and sources of law. It is offered on a part-time, modular basis with the emphasis being on Distance Learning.
