Entry RequirementsAdmission to Northcentral University's Doctoral Degree program in the School of Education requires a conferred Master's degree from an accredited academic institution. Applicants holding other doctoral degrees (MD, DO, DC, DDS, DVM, etc.) may be admitted into a doctoral program at the discretion of the Dean.

This program includes 125 days of planned teaching practice in secondary schools plus other opportunities for applying theoretical knowledge in practical ways throughout the period of study. The new program is structured with exit awards at particular junctures throughout the program of study. These exit points include a university-based diploma qualification and a non-registrable degree qualification that permits you, as a graduate, to pursue a career in the training sector. As part of your studies, you will choose two teaching discipline areas. If you transfer to CQUniversity after commencing an equivalent education program at another Australian university, you can negotiate credit for courses successfully completed.
