Show More The BA (Hons) Early Childhood with Psychology degree was designed to incorporate the theory and understanding of the development, needs and experience of young children with child psychology, and to prepare students for working in supportive roles with children and families. Modules explore how children and childhood are understood from a range of academic and professional perspectives, and look at the philosophies, beliefs and attitudes that inform these perspectives. With a holistic appreciation of the factors that influence the experience of childhood, you will develop a critical understanding of the nature of the development and care of children, including theoretical perspectives of child development, issues of health and health promotion, the sociology of childhood, early years legislation and global inequalities in childhood. The interdisciplinary nature of the degree offers you a unique understanding and set of skills in the areas of early childhood education and psychology.
