Online Business Insurance Degree :: Accredited Universities

CSU and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) have jointly designed the Bachelor of Business (Insurance).

Admission to this specialisation is open to ANZIIF members who have completed an ANZIIF Diploma insurance qualification. Students must apply for this course through ANZIIF.

The degree combines the study of insurance specific subjects offered by ANZIIF with broader business and financial services subjects offered by CSU. It provides students with the opportunity to expand their qualification base, acknowledging their insurance expertise and supporting their career progression in the wider financial industry.

On completion, graduates will hold a CSU degree that is internationally recognised and provides access to postgraduate studies.

CGA MBA Admission Requirements

All candidates must be CGAs or senior CGA students in good standing with the Certified General Accountants Association. Through the provincial/territorial/regional CGA affiliate or international program office, an applicant must submit the following documentation:
• Completed Application for Admission form and a $60 application fee payable to Laurentian. This fee is non-refundable;
• A curriculum vitae outlining prior post secondary academic and professional education and a detailed description of work experiences, including description of duties, responsibilities, and accomplishments;
• Official transcripts for all post secondary education and a CGA professional studies transcript which will be provided by your regional association (Important notice: International transcripts must include the original transcript and the translated version. Laurentian University also requires proof of graduation with each international transcript (degree certificate in original language and translated version). An application with missing educational transcripts and proof of graduation will not be processed in the session applied for);
• Three letters of reference on a standardized form; and
• A letter of application (between 500 and 1000 words).

Admission to the MBA program is competitive and will be based on the Laurentian University Admission Committee’s relative rankings of applications. The Committee will review each application individually and assess each applicant’s own combination of prior education, work experience and unique strengths in determining the applicant’s ability to successfully undertake the MBA program.
Generally, the following admission requirements apply:
• Completion of Levels 1-4 of the CGA program or equivalent
• Minimum two years of work experience
• A recognized undergraduate degree or equivalent
• 70% or a B average in prior post secondary and professional education

Applicants without an undergraduate degree can be considered for admission provided they have achieved significant work experience at a senior management level and have demonstrated a strong academic aptitude

IBAC MBA Admission Requirements:

Entry Requirements

To be admitted to the online learning program in business administration, the applicant must be admitted to the University as a degree-seeking student and satisfy the following:

An associate of science (A.S.) in business administration from Ivy Tech Community College, Vincennes University, or another regionally accredited college or university, with a grade point average of 2.25 or higher;

Or a minimum of 60 credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university with a grade point average of 2.25 or higher.

Approximately half of the students in the School of Business choose the four-year degree in Business Administration.

The business administration program at NSU allows the student to maximize flexibility in determining one's academic curriculum. One may choose from a variety of upper-level electives to accentuate studies in economics, finance, marketing, management, or any combination of these areas.

The business administration curriculum is also ideal to prepare students for the rigors of law school. Several law school courses, such as Business Entities, Employment Law, Constitutional Law, and Anti-trust, focus on the employment and managerial decisions of businesses.

Pre-licensing Courses

Students interested in careers in insurance, real estate, or financial institutions may select a concentration in Finance taking pre-licensing courses for a Property & Casualty insurance license (Finance 3130); Life, Health, and Accident insurance license (Finance 3320); Real Estate license (Finance 3150 and Finance 3160). These pre-licensing courses are available for all majors
