The BASAH program is designed to prepare graduates to work in multiple clinical settings or prepare for other areas of career advancement. Students are required to have completed an associate degree program in an allied health discipline. In addition to NSU graduation and general education requirements, graduation from the program will require students to have earned a "C" or better in allied health courses, graduation or completion of an accredited allied health program, and licensure, registration, or certification to practice in an allied health discipline. The allied health program will provide junior and senior courses for the bachelor of applied science degree. The length of the program will be based on the amount of prior academic coursework completed.

2. 18 or Higher ACT English Subscore (450 SAT) AND 19 or Higher ACT Math Subscore (460 SAT)

The Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Leadership degree is geared toward those who wish to become health care managers. The online degree also allows graduates to assume roles in health services management, health care education and medical sales. The BS in Allied Health Leadership is a bachelor’s degree completion program for individuals who have earned an associate degree. The Allied Health Leadership (AHLD) concentration is designed to offer students with Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees in allied health fields the opportunity to obtain a baccalaureate degree by using more of their A.A.S. hours than normally transfer to a four-year institution.

Traditionally, A.A.S. graduates find that many of their allied health credit hours do not transfer to a four-year institution. This concentration allows A.A.S. graduates the opportunity to receive undergraduate credit for allied health professional courses completed at a community college.

The B.S. completion program is designed for health care providers in medical fields such as medical assisting, medical laboratory technology, cardiovascular technology, physical therapy assistant, and occupational therapy assistant. This concentration will build upon their existing professional knowledge to enhance their skills in communications, critical thinking, problem solving, research, and leadership theories.

In addition, the concentration will equip graduates with entry level management, group dynamics, and supervisory skills as they relate to the allied health disciplines. Successful completion of the concentration will increase the mobility of graduates into leadership positions in their respective professions.

The Allied Health Leadership concentration is online and has open enrollment throughout the academic year.
