Show More Graduates of Crown’s online Christian Ministry B.S. are prepared to serve. They’re employed throughout the U.S. and around the world in ministries and missions, educational and social service organizations. Because wherever their path, graduates use their training to share their deep understanding of Christianity with others, and integrate faith into the personal and professional lives around them. Crown’s curriculum begins with a strong core in Biblical literacy, interpretation and knowledge. Coursework includes practical skills in communications, and the management and administration of faith-based organizations. Leadership, evangelism, counseling and discipleship are also essential components of the online learning curriculum. Four senior classes—Human Development and Discipleship, Ministry Management and Administration, Ministry Communications, and Capstone: Life of the Ministry Leader—incorporate internship components. Students engage in an independent project with a local ministry, church or other faith-based organization. Crown’s partnerships with such organizations as PrepareEnrich, a Christian relationship skill-building program, allow students to become certified in pre-marital and marital counseling while earning their B.S. Students also complete a “Life of Christ” curriculum developed by Crown, which they can use in their professional work as well. Crown’s B.S. students are free to add any of our other Bachelor’s offerings as a minor. In many cases, the minor does not add any additional courses to their B.S. program. Faculty with credentials in academic excellence, and with significant ministry and mission experience, lead the courses in Crown’s dynamic online learning environment. The Christian Ministry B.S. reflects Crown’s academic integrity as one of the "Top 10 Online Christian Colleges of 2013." Crown’s easy-to-use online learning environment allows you the freedom and flexibility to complete coursework at your convenience. Show More The Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Christian Ministry program provides students with the skills to facilitate leadership within a Christian ministry and society. With a focus on Christian Ministry, scholars of this doctorate degree will examine and discuss topics that include change management in ministry, the intersection of Christian ministry and culture, the theology of Christian leadership and the challenges to a contemporary Christian ministry in a postmodern culture. Scholars of the Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Christian Ministry program will explore the applications of theory in a variety of organizational settings. Additional topics include the major bodies of literature in leadership reflecting critically on existing theory and identifying appropriate applications of theory in education, business, and other organizational cultures. For some individuals, a doctoral degree may seem out of reach. At Grand Canyon University, we have developed a program that includes an integrated dissertation process as well as a dynamic community that supports you along your doctoral journey. Unlike many programs where learners are expected to complete a core set of specializations prior to beginning their dissertation; at GCU learners begin the dissertation process from the beginning of their program of study. From the very first course where learners are introduced to the doctoral dispositions, through subsequent residencies and milestones, scholars progressively build the skills and understanding necessary to research, write the results and, finally, defend their dissertation. This is one journey learners will not take alone. A robust learning community supports doctoral learners along the way that includes other learners, dissertation chairs, methodologists and committee members. GCU's formative approach to the dissertation process is supported by expert faculty, professional staff, academic counselors and distinctive resources, making the dissertation journey at GCU worth taking. Entry RequirementsApplicants to university doctoral programs may be accepted for admission by meeting the criteria specified below:
