Facilitate academic writing for students and academics, Entry RequirementsSuccessful applicants must normally hold a second class honours degree or equivalent. Any candidates with degrees across the Humanities, Social Sciences and (Applied) Sciences, and with an interest in academic writing, are welcome to apply, applicants who can demonstrate relevant experience at an appropriate professional level but do not have the formal academic entry qualifications may also be admitted, subject to an application and assessment, applications to the course are encouraged from all suitably qualified persons, irrespective of age, race, gender or disability. Applicants for the Postgraduate Diploma in Cardiovascular Practice must normally have successfully achieved a Postgraduate Certificate in Cardiovascular Practice or similar award. Applicants for the Masters in Cardiovascular Practice must normally have successfully achieved a Postgraduate Diploma in Cardiovascular Practice or similar award. Applications will be encouraged from non-standard entrants with relevant experiential learning. The Course Director will use their discretion to accept applications on the basis of experience. The general requirements for admissions are in line with University policy (Academic Regulations 2.7). Students whose first language is not English are normally required to have IELTS>6.5 (preferably with a high mark in the written component), TOEFL computer-based >250.
