This range of innovative, inter-professional programmes that are dedicated to developing and integrating contemporary practice, helping practitioners to engage creatively with the concerns of their profession in a research-informed way. The named award MSc Applied Professional Studies (Practice Learning, Social Services, Stage 4) is aimed at a broad range of professionals within social services and related service sectors, eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Participants will develop their strategic leadership skills with respect to practice learning development and support. It will enable students to acquire knowledge and skills in the strategic development and support of practice learning, workplace mentoring and communities of practice and in an organisational context, the development of learning organisations. Entry RequirementsFor general admission to the programme, candidates should normally have obtained an honours degree or other qualification recognised by us as equivalent. In addition to meeting the required entrance qualification criteria, candidate's admission to the programme is subject to providing evidence of a minimum period of two years experience working in an appropriate practice setting. Depending on the pathway chosen there can be further specific entry requirements to meet.
English Language Requirement:
IELTS minimum overall score of 6.0, with a minimum of 6.0 in the writing component and a minimum of 5.5 in the other 3 components. Other FeesNotesThe modules may be offered by face to face delivery, distance learning and work-based learning on a two intake basis per year. |
