We will help you forge working relationships with professional writers and academics, and to explore potential vocational pathways in writing and/or academia. Tutors on this course are successful practitioners in the field of scriptwriting. The MA Scriptwriting course will include the following elements, though you can choose to specialise in writing for film, theatre, TV or radio:
- Writing a Short Drama Script You will be tutored through these modules, which culminate in a full-length script that showcases the skills you have gained during the course and can potentially act as an industry calling card. Entry RequirementsA minimum 2:2 Honours degree, but anyone with proven potential in scriptwriting will be considered. Evidence of scriptwriting potential is required, either a completed script or script in development, and an essay or piece of critical writing. You may also be invited for an interview.

Master of Arts Practice (Acting) MAPrac(Acting) It is a Commonwealth supported course which provides students the opportunity to undertake a supervised creative practice-based project in either; fine arts, performance, photography, theatre, television, sound, text, hybrid arts or new media, or any other creative discipline, which can be exhibited, published, produced, performed or presented; and a writing project, as part of which the student carries out contextual research in creative practices and critical reflection on the practice based project. The specialisation with which the student graduates is dependent on the nature of the project. Students may commence in either session. Entry RequirementsSuccessful completion of an undergraduate award, with not less than 50% of core discipline studies in the final year of the award. Applicants who have not completed an undergraduate award but who have equivalent professional experience will be considered on an individual basis.
