Show More The primary objective of the Master of Science in Health Sciences in the clinical management and leadership field is to develop management and leadership knowledge and skills for the practicing professional in health disciplines. Graduates of the program have demonstrated the capacity and competence to serve in mid to upper-level leadership positions. All course work is delivered through state-of-the-art distance education that meets the needs of working health care professionals. The faculty for this dynamic program is drawn from a diverse set of health care professions, giving the graduate access to a wide range of worldviews, experiences and health care perspectives. We believe that is a formula for successfully developing health care leaders in the 21st century. Course work includes an array of business functions in clinical practice management, including human resources, marketing, finance and economics. Students also study research methods, current issues and trends, and leadership methods in the health care delivery system. Case studies, strategic planning and proposal development are key learning approaches. Graduates of this program work in pharmacy, hospice, hospital and private practice settings, as well as in outpatient professional services and long-term care.
