It is designed to help you progress in your chosen career by developing the knowledge, skills and competencies that employers are looking for. The breadth of subjects within the programme allows you to explore a range of business disciplines including human resources, marketing, finance, strategy and communications. Alongside the teaching model, students are supported by a Talent Coach and Talent Agent, a critical team dedicated to helping students successfully achieve their study and career goals. Entry RequirementsAs this is an employment focused programme it is essential that candidates are in employment. Therefore, all applications will require a letter of confirmation of employment and ideally support from their employer. Entry requirements As well as employer support they will need to meet the following requirements to be admitted to the programme: Be in recognised employment; and Have recognised and equivalent vocational, industry or professional qualifications such as City and Guilds, NVQs etc; or Show evidence of equivalent qualification (examinations and experience will be considered) and apply following the Accredited Prior Experiential Learning and/or Accredited Prior Certified Learning procedures; or Have obtained a minimum of 260 UCAS tariff points and demonstrate both Mathematics and English Language GCSE grade C or equivalent; or Achieve an acceptable profile in the Cambridge Assessment test set by BPP. This course is available via distance learning, allowing you to study flexibly whilst balancing work and personal commitments. Entry RequirementsAcademic Requirements An undergraduate degree (e.g. bachelor) which is considered at least comparable to a UK second class honours degree, in any subject, from an institution acceptable to the University, together with at least two years relevant work experience. If you do not meet the entrance requirement you may still apply. Each application will be considered on an individual basis.
Technical skills Word-processing, Internet and email skills are all basic requirements of this programme. No previous experience of computer conferencing is required as these skills will be developed during the course.
English Language requirements You will meet the English language requirement if you have passed, within the past three years:
(IELTS) International English Language Testing System when an overall score of at least 7.5 is achieved with a minimum of 7.0 in the Reading and Writing sub tests. Please note we are unable to accept (TOEFL) iBT Test of English as a Foreign Language results if you have taken the examination after the 29 May 2014.
Computer Requirements All students must have regular access to a computer and the internet. This may be for accessing the Student Portal, downloading course materials from the virtual learning environment or accessing resources from the Online Library. You will also need suitable hardware capacity on your computer for document storage as well as basic software such as a PDF reader. We recommend that you use the latest version of Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome and that your screen resolution is 1024 x 768 or greater. JavaScript and cookies must be enabled to access particular online services such as the Student Portal. Some programmes have courses or modules that use additional software.
