• A course completion rate (Earned-to-Attempted Percentage) of 70 percent. (You need to have completed 70 percent of the courses you have started)

• An affidavit of financial support showing the ability to pay for one full year
• Submit a maximum two-page, double-spaced essay describing your "Sense of Purpose at Ottawa University." Please organize your thoughts around one of the following three components using specific experiences from your life: Personal, Intellectual and Civic/Social
• Established English Proficiency. This can be established by taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). TOEFL scores required:

This online program is accredited by the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) and is the only NAB-accredited program available online. Health information technology (HIT) professionals with an associate degree pursue registration through the AHIMA as Registered Health Information Technicians (RHIT). RHITs are responsible for the quality of patient health information in acute care hospitals, physician offices and other outpatient facilities.

Students in this program study diagnosis and procedure coding, health information management, healthcare reimbursement, legal aspects of health information, and health information technology.

The Health Care Management program includes courses in anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology with pharmacology, medical terminology, ICD-9-CM and ICD-9-CM coding, ICD-10-PCS coding, CPT and HCPCS coding, as well as reimbursement methodologies. Entry Requirements

To qualify for admission to an advanced degree program at Strayer University, we require the following credentials:

1. Proof of completion of a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. Any undergraduate major will be considered, but if it varies widely from a proposed graduate major, you may need to take certain undergraduate foundation courses.

2. Satisfactory performance in at least one of the following areas:

- A minimum cumulative score of 450 on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)

- A minimum cumulative score of 1,000 on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

- A 2.75 undergraduate grade point average on a 4.0 scale during the junior and senior years of the Baccalaureate degree (that is, the second half of the credits required for the degree, normally the last 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours).

- Evidence of graduate potential. Special consideration may be given to applicants who show graduate potential and have a minimum of three years of professional or business experience. A personal interview with a Campus Dean is required.
