You can take these courses as a visiting student and earn credit towards a credential at another university; alternatively, you can pursue either a three-year B.A. with Athabasca with a concentration in History or a four-year B.A. major in History. Of course, there is nothing stopping you from enrolling in a course simply to learn more about a particular topic. The University does not have a fixed timetable: you can start one of our courses at any time. Some courses are delivered to students as print-based packages, while others have online components or include other media. Entry Requirements• Hold credit in ENGL 255 (Students are strongly encouraged to register in ENGL 255 early in their program.); or have a grade of B- (70 per cent) or better in an Athabasca University English course above the preparatory (100) level; or receive credit for an English course in which a grade of B- or better was achieved.
