This combined degree course prepares students for health practise and additionally, for coordination of health services. The Bachelor of Health Practice/Bachelor of Community Services prepares graduates who are safe, capable, confident, culturally sensitive and able to apply principles of evidence based practice and lifelong learning throughout their professional careers. The course develops breadth and depth of contextual knowledge and associated skills required for employment and career progression as health practitioners and additionally as case managers or services coordinators in a range of healthcare settings.

Entry Requirements

- Complete an online application for admissions. Whether you want to apply through Quick Apply, as a full-time student or as a transient student, Florida Tech’s online application is quick and easy, and there is no fee. - Provide official documentation of high school graduation or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) if applying with less than 24 semester credit hours completed at an accredited institution.

- Provide official transcripts of all colleges and universities previously attended or presently attending.
- Schools must be listed in chronological order, including dual enrollment.
- All schools must be included, even if a term was not completed.

- Credit hours earned from regionally accredited schools will automatically be evaluated for transfer hours as part of the formal application process. In order for a class to be eligible for transfer, a grade of C or better must have been achieved. (A grade of C- will not be considered for transfer credit.)

- Official records must also be requested for any of the following that have been completed:

- CLEP/Advanced Placement exams
- GED College level examinations
- DANTES, USAFI examinations, Regent Standardized
Examinations or other advanced placement examinations

- Diagnostic assessments in both math and English are required to determine the appropriate academic requirements and classes.

International Applicants

- A minimum score 550 (paper based) or 213 (computer based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a score of at least a 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) or a score of at least 6.5 on the IELTS, earned no more than two years before attendance at Florida Tech

- Attended for three consecutive years and graduation from an accredited or state-approved mainland U.S. high school where English is the language of instruction

- Successful completion of a total of 20 semester hours at a regionally accredited, mainland U.S. university or college where English is the language of instruction, including three semester hours of English that qualify as transfer credit for Florida Tech’s Composition and Rhetoric (COM 1101) course

- Successful completion of a NASFA-recognized ESL program

Entry Requirements

All applicants must be able to meet the following requirements:

have an honours degree in pharmacy usually at a minimum level of 2:2
be registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (UK) or equivalent regulatory authority in the students home country for overseas students
be in employment in the community healthcare pharmacy sector or have access to an appropriate area of practice whilst enrolled on the programme
submit a written document to support their application which gives a review of their pharmacy experience, their reason/s for undertaking the programme and their expectations of what they hope to gain from the programme.
Applicants for CPD units will require a degree in a health related subject, be registered with their professional regulatory body and have access to patients in order to complete the programme assessments.

International Students : All International students must upload a scanned copy of their passport as part of the application process.

Applicants need to be working a minimum of one day per week in community or primary care pharmacy and have access to patients.

As this is a completely online programme, students must have access to a computer with fast and reliable internet connection. There is a minimum level of computer skills required, these include the ability to:

work efficiently with Word (or similar) and Powerpoint programmes
