Show More The MSc Health Studies (Family Health) course delivered online from University of the West of Scotland, has been developed in recognition of the increasing development of community healthcare delivery and to address a gap in the educational needs of practitioners who are currently working within the often diverse areas of health and social care. Healthcare delivery is changing rapidly across Europe to meet the needs of clients, families and communities, with an emphasis on the integration of health and social care services. This new innovative educational programme focuses on the complexities of working with families in the community and the promotion of case management skills required to achieve excellence in care. The course builds on family health practice across Europe and takes a proactive approach to the development of a highly effective community workforce, examining real opportunities to meet the challenges of contemporary global healthcare within practice. It also examines the global health challenges of an increasingly ageing population and the complexity that multi-morbidity of noncommunicable disease presents, as well as exploring the significant health challenges of smoking, alcohol, widespread obesity and the associated impact on health resources. Entry RequirementsApplicants should normally possess a health related degree or equivalent.
Relevant previous academic credit and/or prior learning will also be considered. Other Fees |
