The MA program in Education, Leadership, Management and Policy starts during the summer thereby making it easier for elementary, middle and high school teachers to earn a master’s in administration. Classes are taught by Seton Hall faculty and experienced education practitioners who bring years of knowledge and expertise in educational leadership.

Seton Hall University's online M.A. in Education Leadership, Management and Policy is a two-year graduate program geared towardworking professionals interested in becoming educational administrators, such as principals or department supervisors.

Teachers, school administrators or those interested in careers in educational administration and supervision should apply to the program.Most of our applicants haveat least three years of classroom experience.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should have

1. Work experience in field related to educational administration.

2. Undergraduate degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university

3. Undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (or equivalent)

Applicants having an undergraduate GPA between 2.75 and 2.99 or who have fewer than 24 credits in social, behavioral and/or educational subjects may be admitted subject to conditions set by the Admissions Committee.

International applicants are required to submit an official educational credential evaluation report from World Education Services.

The Master of Public Service Leadership is designed to develop the next generation of leaders for nonprofit organizations, faith-based and community-based organizations and local, state and federal government.

The 36-credit program is offered entirely online and meets the accelerating demand for education and careers in public service, a broadly defined sector that includes government agencies as well as nonprofit, philanthropic and non-governmental organizations.

The program has been developed in alignment with the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA) standards for accreditation. Students will have the option of selecting one of the following areas of study, including:

Community and Economic Development
Environmental Policy / Environmental Justice
Information Technology Management for Public Service

The program has a competency-based curriculum focusing on advancing the knowledge, research and practice of public affairs that emphasizes theory, research and application. Entry Requirements

- All applicants must have a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a GPA of at least 2.75 is recommended

- Applicants to degree programs must provide a current resume with their completed application.

- Applicants to degree programs must provide two letters of recommendation with their completed application.

- All statements of background and goals must be completed and submitted with a completed application and will be evaluated critically and used to assess an applicant's ability to succeed in and benefit from the graduate program.

- Three-to-five years of professional, managerial or related experience is required for all graduate degree programs

- The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required of all applicants whose primary language is not English. A score of 550 on the written; 213 on the computer version; or 79 on the Internet version is required.

The programme is informed by a belief in the importance of cultural enterprise, which is embedded into the framework structure. Core modules equip students with an understanding of the necessary knowledge of cultural management, and encourage students to consider enterprise and entrepreneurialism in this context. The programme synthesizes critical examination of cultural management theory and practices with the wider background, policies, theories and principles of working in the arts, cultural and creative industries. Cultural management within the artistic, creative and cultural contexts is becoming increasingly internationalised and the global nature of cultural management in each of the degree areas is explored within the context of international policy, funding and advances in collaborative working. This is applied within a contemporary social, political, economic and technological context and within public, voluntary and commercial sector frameworks.

The programme offers an innovative approach to creative and cultural leadership including operational and strategic management, offering professional development at a high level, encouraging learners to critically reflect on policies, procedures and practices informed by theory. The programme develops essential creative and cultural management skills. Funding and sponsorship, marketing and management of cultural and creative projects are each explored. The programme addresses the nature and process of managing a creative and cultural organisation and recognises that managing staff, teams and volunteers and strategies for workforce development are key elements of the cultural manager’s role. Alongside this, community working and education programmes form the remit of many cultural sector activities. The programme enables learners to engage with social and education policy and strategies for developing and aligning activity to meet the needs of particular communities and audiences.

a degree in an arts related area;

a degree in a non-arts related area with a proven interest in an art form or aspects of cultural management and/or considerable relevant work experience.

The Master of Clinical Leadership provides a pathway for health professionals seeking to develop and/or upgrade their clinical leadership and management knowledge skills. It also provides the opportunity for senior health leaders to develop best practice within clinical education and teaching contexts. Learning material from international and national sources of referenced work and public policy is delivered by academics who have worked in and researched health systems.
