Diemer, has nearly 30 years of varied investigative experience, and is known across Florida and, increasingly, among national law enforcement at local, state, and federal agency levels. Dr. Diemer has served as a Deputy Sheriff, State Coordinator for the Florida Sheriff’s Association Statewide Task Force, and Chief of Investigations for the Florida Department of Environmental Protections Division of Law Enforcement. From 2010 the Forensic Science Society Diploma was credit rated at 120 credits at postgraduate level. This has allowed the university to offer a “top-up” of the diploma to masters level on the successful completion of a project in either Crime Scene Investigation, Fire Investigation, Firearm Examination and Questioned Documents.

Coursework emphasizes the identification and analysis of evidence as well as the interpretation and reporting of the results. The M.F.S. program offers the following concentrations: forensic chemistry, forensic toxicology, and forensic molecular biology. An M.S. degree is available in two fields of study: crime scene investigation and high technology crime investigation. The program’s location in Washington, D.C., provides students with opportunities to interact with federal, state and local agencies.
