Course Description The aim of the course is to provide clinical and healthcare technologists with the engineering grounding and the specialised skills required to succeed in their profession. The taught material is delivered during Year 1 and Year 2 of the programme. Topics covered on the course include:
Clinical Engineering Entry RequirementsSuitable for graduates in Engineering, Physics and related disciplines employed in the healthcare sector and mature students with suitable qualifications and experience. An upper second class Honours UK degree (or equivalent) from a British or recognised overseas university is required. Applicants with relevant professional experience are also considered. Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to pass either IELTS/TOEFL exams, for which the minimum requirement is an IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL iBT of 90. Other FeesUK & EU Dissertation fee: £2,124 International Dissertation fee: £4,800 NotesAlthough the degree programme is largely distance learning, applicants should note that the course requires students to attend lectures and practical sessions over 4 separate weekends in Cardiff for each year of the course. Students will also be expected to attend an examinations weekend each year in May. Note: International students pursuing part-time programmes of study are not eligible for Tier 4 (General Student) visas and must have alternative leave to remain in the UK if they intend to study at the University in person. |
