Crown’s Psychology/Counseling B.S. includes a solid foundation in psychological theory. But the degree program is distinctive for offering a concentration in counseling from a faith perspective. The focused learning students acquire through the counseling concentration provides graduates with skills applicable to almost any career. Coursework focuses on human behavior and development, listening and assessment techniques, counseling theory and skill building. Moreover, the curriculum encompasses principles and learning that students in other schools may not receive until the Master’s level. Graduates of Crown’s online Psychology/Counseling B.S. are prepared to work in any field that requires an understanding of human thought and behavior with a Christian perspective, from business to ministry to social work. The program also prepares graduates for the rigors of a Master’s program, whether an M.A. or M.S.W. Crown’s B.S. students are free to add the Psychology/Counseling B.S. or any other Bachelor’s offerings as a minor. In many cases, the minor does not add any additional courses to their B.S. program. Faculty with credentials in academic excellence, and with significant ministry and mission experience, lead the courses in Crown’s dynamic online learning environment.
