The Business Administration with Technology Emphasis program prepares graduates for a variety of responsible managerial positions in both domestic and international firms. The objectives of the program are to provide a foundation in accounting, sales and marketing, operations management, human resource management and banking and finance. Entry Requirements

Students seeking admission to the Bachelor of Science in Health Science program must be a graduate of an associate’s degree level, health sciences program (i.e., medical assisting, respiratory therapy, nurse education, surgical technology, etc.) from an accredited institution or have completed sufficient college credit to attain the equivalent of an associate’s degree in the discipline of health science. Prospective students should also have completed an appropriate number of credit hours of general education (e.g., 15 semester credit hours and 22.5 quarter credit hours).

Applicants for admission must have graduated from an accredited high school, private secondary school, or have completed the equivalent (GED).

International Applicants

Applicants to an undergraduate associate’s or bachelor’s program must provide an official or attested transcript of completed high school work translated into English and certified to be at least equivalent to the credential required by the college in its admissions criteria. This policy also applies to any student with previous education completed outside of the United States.

2.Applicants must provide evidence of English proficiency in one of the following ways: (i) minimum TOEFL score of 550 or 213 computer based or 79 IBT based or (ii) 6.0 on IELTS.

Economics focuses on complex interrelationships, whereby a change in one area will have repercussions elsewhere. Most of life’s important questions are of this nature. Economics training at Massey University will enable you to analyse these matters in a realistic fashion.

The BBS (Economics) degree provides a broad and well-rounded education in business. Selecting this option provides you with a strong grounding in Economics, but in a programme that is less rigorous and specialised than the Bachelor of Applied Economics.

In addition to Economics training, you will gain a broad understanding of other business disciplines such as finance, banking, management, and information systems. If you see yourself as a future dynamic business leader who will use a solid knowledge of economics to help ensure the success of your company, this is the degree for you.

The Economics major in the BBS degree programme has few compulsory requirements and lots of flexibility. It builds on a standard core of economic theory, with additional papers chosen from a wide range of electives, allowing students to specialise in any of a number of areas. In addition to quantitative methods and more advanced theory, these include international trade, resource and environmental economics, financial economics, managerial economics, and public policy.

While you may not intend to major in Economics, many students have found that a selection of Economics papers can be a useful complement to their chosen major. However, if you think you might want to pursue postgraduate studies in Economics, it’s very important to plan early and seek academic advice. Entry Requirements

There are no special entry requirements for the Economics major beyond those that qualify you for study at the University. A major in Economics can be taken internally at the Manawatu and Albany campuses; it can also be taken extramurally but with a more limited range of papers. In order to widen your choice of papers, or to fit in with your other commitments, you may opt for a mix of internal and extramural papers.

The Bachelor of Arts in Consumer and Family Financial Services program is designed to prepare you for a career in insurance, investments, or family financial advisement. Entry Requirements

Students seeking admission to an online undergraduate program must meet the following admission requirements prior to the start of the first course at Ashford University:

Have a regular high-school diploma earned through college preparatory or regular high school courses or GED equivalency recognized by the Department of Education of the state in which it was earned, completed secondary school through home schooling as defined by state law, or earned an equivalent to a US high school diploma at an international high school according to approved Foreign Evaluation services. An earned IEP or Special Education Diploma or Certificate of Completion based upon IEP goals does not meet the regular high school diploma requirement for admission to Ashford University. If no high school degree was earned, applicants who have successfully completed at least a two-year program that is acceptable for full credit toward a bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited postsecondary institution, as defined by Ashford University transfer credit policies, may be admitted.

Be 22 years of age or older, or be exempt from this requirement by meeting one of the following criteria:

- Earned a minimum of 30 transferable credits* as defined by Ashford University transfer credit policies;

- Earned an Associate’s degree or higher from a regionally or approved nationally accredited institution; or

- Seeking readmission to Ashford University after withdrawal from a degree program; or

- Current degree-seeking student at Ashford University requesting to change majors.

Have the ability to study English indicated by one of the following:

- Achieved a recognized high school diploma or equivalent in which the primary language of instruction was English

- Received a GED that was taken in English

- A minimum of 30 credits have been earned from regionally or approved nationally accredited colleges/universities in the United States or equivalent in which the primary language of instruction was English; or
