- Provide official transcripts of all colleges and universities previously attended or presently attending. - Credit hours earned from regionally accredited schools will automatically be evaluated for transfer hours as part of the formal application process. In order for a class to be eligible for transfer, a grade of C or better must have been achieved. (A grade of C- will not be considered for transfer credit.) - Official records must also be requested for any of the following that have been completed:
- CLEP/Advanced Placement exams - Diagnostic assessments in both math and English are required to determine the appropriate academic requirements and classes. - Provide a copy of a DD-214 if you are a separated or retired servicemember. Active-duty members must provide a NOBE DD2384. - Credits from outside of the United States should be evaluated by an approved agency. See a list of approved evaluating agencies. - Florida Tech does not give credit for work/life experience. - A minimum of your last 25% of earned credit hours must be completed with Florida Tech in order to graduate.
International Applicants International candidates must prove English language proficiency by at least one of the following: - A minimum score 550 (paper based) or 213 (computer based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a score of at least a 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) or a score of at least 6.5 on the IELTS, earned no more than two years before attendance at Florida Tech - Attended for three consecutive years and graduation from an accredited or state-approved mainland U.S. high school where English is the language of instruction - Successful completion of a total of 20 semester hours at a regionally accredited, mainland U.S. university or college where English is the language of instruction, including three semester hours of English that qualify as transfer credit for Florida Tech’s Composition and Rhetoric (COM 1101) course
