Show More The Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology prepares individuals to think critically about the science of psychology and its practice in preparation for careers in a variety of fields or for graduate school. Students learn to interpret, design, and conduct basic psychological research; and they develop effective written communication and presentation skills as part of their research experience in the program. Students completing the Psychology degree will be able to apply psychological content and skills to their career goals, refine project-management skills, enhance their teamwork capacity, and develop meaningful professional direction.
Outcomes Earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology does not mean graduates can work as psychologists, as that requires a master’s or doctoral degree, as well as professional licensure. But an undergraduate degree in psychology can translate into jobs in a variety of other related fields, including social work, human resources, teaching, and probation and corrections. The program also prepares those who choose to pursue a graduate degree for advanced study. The Psychology + 2 degree completion program is fully online and is designed to allow students who have completed 60 or more hours of undergraduate coursework to earn a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mercer University in as little as two years. This program is designed for students who have an associate degree in psychology or related field. Through special agreements, up to 64 hours of credit may be transferred to the Mercer University program. Entry RequirementsCandidates generally must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5. (on a 4.0 scale) and must be in good standing at all regionally accredited colleges or universities attended.
