This course focuses strongly on the strategic aspects of the tourism and hospitality industry,and examines current emerging issues that students will face in the work environment.

Entry Requirements

Level 4 and 5 qualifications (Foundation DEgree or HND) and 260 UCAS tariff points. All courses require 5 GCSEs at A-C including Maths and English. Applicants who do not fulfil the above entry criteria will be considered on an individual basis, taking into account other factors.

Entry Requirements

You will need a recognised Honours degree at 2:2 or above, or equivalent. Alternatively, you may have an equivalent professional qualification, or qualifications and experience, in which case you will be asked to complete a specified piece of work as part of the selection process, or attend an online interview.
In order to determine suitability for postgraduate study, information is sought through the application form. The process is designed to enable judgement to be made regarding equivalence to Honours degree outcomes:
Applicants without the required level of academic qualification, for example holders of a degree without honours may be considered if they have significant experience in a post of appropriate professional, administrative or managerial responsibility. It is anticipated that the additional experience will provide learning opportunities which will be regarded as equivalent to honours level outcomes.

Those applicants who do not possess an honours degree may be enrolled, in the first instance, as Associate students for the first trimester. Satisfactory performance on these modules may result in registration on the MSc Business Management programme.
Applicants with other relevant qualifications from recognised academic or professional institutions may be considered for entry where the learning outcomes from these qualifications can be satisfactorily matched against those of the MSc BM.
If appropriate, applicants may be required to provide evidence of competence in English (IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 575).
All applicants are required to have an Internet connection.
The admissions process is designed to assure the programme team and the applicant that they will be able to undertake the programme. It also acts as a diagnostic process allowing the identification of students who may need additional guidance and support in undertaking postgraduate study

The THM industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. Tourism ranks among the top three industries in all 50 states. The "Tourism and Hospitality Management" (THM) major is designed to prepare undergraduate students for management careers in the tourism and hospitality industries. Students will study the core courses required of all students pursuing a Bachelors of Business Administration degree. Graduates from this major will be well prepared to assume managerial roles in these industries. The purpose of the THM program is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, values, and strategic perspectives essential to obtaining leadership roles in the hospitality service professions in western Kansas, the region, the domestic market, and throughout the world. Upon completion of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management, graduates would be able to pursue career paths in most segments of the THM industry.
