This is a generic programme suitable for all healthcare professionals. The main learning environment is the student's own professional practice and attendance requirements are consequently minimal.
This pathway is a generic route to an MSc, in which you as a healthcare professional can use your own professional practice as the ‘learning environment’. You are learning all the time as a professional and this MSc allows you to use this learning, no matter if you are a chiropractor, physiotherapist, osteopath, medical or another healthcare practitioner. As a practitioner, you will have areas that interest you, and in which you would like to learn more. No matter what these are, the programme will allow you to identify your own objectives, learn according to your own needs and in doing so, enhance your knowledge and skills, and most importantly, improve your own professional practice. Right from the start this MSc will get you thinking about what you do, and how you can improve! This isn’t just an academic qualification; it will change your practice.

You attend CPD courses and seminars but you could also use these towards your MSc.
Learn the skills necessary to be an evidence-based practitioner using our extensive library facilities and electronic journal resources; we will give you an Athens log in facility for the time you are a student with us.
If you have any post-qualifying qualifications, or extensive professional experience, you may be able to use these to gain exemption from some parts of the course, making your study time shorter and less expensive!

Entry Requirements

The Clinical Sciences course is intended for practitioners in professional practice including those with an undergraduate qualification in medicine, chiropractic, physiotherapy, osteopathy, exercise science, sport science, nursing or other related degrees. Other undergraduate degrees will be considered depending on the level of human biological sciences completed in the degree programme. Applicants must have a recognised first qualification in line with the admissions regulations. Credit for prior learning is possible on approval by the Pathway Leader. Admission is at the discretion of the Pathway Leader.

Applicants for whom English is not their first language, must offer evidence of qualifications in written and spoken English. Acceptable qualifications are IELTS (academic) 6.0 and TOEFL 80 (internet based) or 550 (paper based), or direct equivalents.

Our 30 credit totally online Master of Science in Environmental Practice degree prepares students to advance their career and to contribute positively to finding solutions for environmental problems. The master’s degree in Environmental Practice is available as a Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental Practice and as a Master of Arts (MA) in Environmental Practice.

• This program is designed to be of most benefit to environmental practitioners who have an interest in, or a responsibility for, leadership and sustainable decision-making. As such, work and volunteer experience are key elements considered for admission to the program. As a guideline, we suggest that each applicant should have at least three years of experience working with environmental issues.

Our Environmental Practice programs are 30-credit, online programs offered as either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science (BAEP/BScEP) degree. These are degree-completion programs, which means that as a prospective student, you have already completed your third year of post-secondary education. Our Environmental Practice programs then allows you to complete your final 30-credits of a four year undergraduate degree. Both programs are coordinated by Royal Roads University and utilize courses from universities and colleges across the country. The BAEP/BScEP programs are offered through the Canadian Centre for Environmental Education (CCEE), which is a partnership of Royal Roads University and Environmental Careers Organization of Canada (ECO Canada). These programs follow the objectives of the other CCEE programs where the curriculum addresses the academic support and knowledge requirements underpinning the National Occupational Standards defined for professional certification.

• Minimum of 90 post-secondary arts/science credits with 30 credits at the 300 (third year) level or higher, with a cumulative "B" (3.00/4.33) or
• Completion of the Certificate in Environmental Practice with 18 post-secondary science credits, nine of which must be at the 200 (second year) level, with a cumulative "B" (3.00/4.33)

FLEXIBLE ADMISSION

The Master of Advanced Health Practice has been developed for individuals with a background in a health science discipline including nursing and allied health professions. The course is focused on professional development for current health practitioners, giving them a broad overview of the latest developments in various fields.

The course is practical and allows students to build on their existing experience. It enables students to pursue their interests through the choice of specialisations across a range of advanced health practice areas. Alternatively, the degree can be completed as a generic course of study without a specialisation by undertaking a selection of units in accordance with the award rules. The MSc Advanced Professional Practice (APP) degree, validated by Bournemouth
University, has been developed by the AECC to support professional development. The
programme provides a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals to attain the generic
skills and attitudes of continuing professional development, experiential learning and
reflective practice, and to develop advanced clinical and practical skills in specialised areas
of practice. The MSc APP is a part-time, ‘at a distance’, programme enabling healthcare
professionals to combine professional learning in the workplace with a postgraduate
academic qualification. To reflect the areas of specialised practice, five pathways are
available:
