The Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) combines research-based and professional studies in psychology with broad studies in the liberal and creative arts, and provides you with opportunities to develop skills of critical and systematic thinking; an imaginative understanding and appreciation of the theory and practice of the social sciences, the humanities or the arts; and enhanced cultural sensitivity and understanding through genuine reciprocity of values.

The course develops capabilities inherent in interpreting sources of knowledge, and develops the capacity for quantitative and qualitative analysis, and the capacity for critique and creative thinking in various arts disciplines. At the same time, you will develop an understanding of psychology as a scientific discipline and appreciate the role it plays within society as a whole.

In the Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) you will:

be exposed to a contemporary integrative approach to the understanding of psychology

recognise the importance of, and interrelationships between, biological, developmental, social, cognitive, and developmental factors

understand the broad areas of psychology, including behavioural and clinical neuroscience, child and adolescent psychology, relationships and the psychology of groups, cognitive psychology, forensic psychology, and psychopathology

acquire knowledge and competence in the theory and practice of psychological assessment with a range of clients

acquire knowledge and competence in the design and delivery of empirically informed treatment programs for a range of clients

understand the subject matter, concepts and techniques of selected arts, social sciences and humanities disciplines at internationally recognised levels and standards

gain an awareness of ethical issues, social responsibility and cultural diversity in the arts and in psychological practice
acquire cross-cultural and international awareness in order to take citizenship and leadership roles in local, national or international communities

reflect on the experience of personal and professional practice in international and cross-cultural settings and have the capacity to act in professionalised settings responsibly, ethically and with integrity.

The psychology and arts sequences seek to develop in students the skills required to integrate, evaluate, and communicate knowledge; produce new knowledge through research and analysis; apply knowledge of theory and methodology into professional situations; and work successfully both independently and in teams. Moreover, it strives to engage and enthuse students, instilling a lifelong passion for learning, coupled with the desire and confidence to become agents of positive change.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should have successfully completed VCE, or equivalent, including Units 3 and 4–a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or 20 in English other than EAL.

Statement of Goals

A statement of your goals reflecting the academic, professional, and personal goals you would like to achieve through your work with Aspen University. Your goals statement will be evaluated by the Admissions Committee as part of the application process. The statement of goals should be between 300 - 500 words.

High School Transcripts

An official high school transcript or its equivalent. Waived if student has completed at least 15 credits of college level course work.

Official Transcripts

Official transcripts for all previous college credit earned.

Military Documentation (Optional)

A Military ID or DD214 for those who qualify for the military discount program.

Transfer Credit Evaluation (Optional)

Students who have earned college credit may submit a transfer credit evaluation report with corresponding course descriptions, and official transcripts from accredited institutions in order to determine which credits may be applied toward the requirements of a program at Aspen University.

Minimum GPA Requirement

A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 is required for all previous high school or college credit.

Conditional Acceptance

Students will be Conditionally Accepted pending successful completion of CMP160 - English Composition I. Upon successful completion of CMP160 - English Composition I students will be fully Accepted. This requirement is waived for students awarded Transfer Credit for CMP160 - English Composition I.

Enterprise architecture (EA) is the process of translating business vision and strategy into effective enterprise change by creating, communicating, and improving the key requirements, principles, and models that describe the enterprise’s future state and enable its evolution and transformation. This transformation process entails the analysis and design of an enterprise in its current and future states from a strategic, organizational, and technological perspective. The goals of EA are to improve the organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and agility by delivering business-aligned enterprise systems.

At the core of modern-day enterprise architecture is finding better, more effective ways to analyze, design, and implement solutions that support the business capabilities of the organization. In addition, EA provides an analysis and planning discipline to help ensure that enterprise systems have the agility needed to align with and support changes in business strategy and underlying business capabilities.

The EA process produces several things of value to the organization:

- a clear understanding of the strategic requirements of the enterprise
- models of the future state, which illustrate what the enterprise should look like across all EA viewpoints in support of the business strategy
- a road map of the change initiatives required to reach that future state
- the requirements, principles, standards, and guidelines that will steer the implementation of change initiatives

Penn State's online Master of Professional Studies in Enterprise Architecture (MPS in EA) program bridges many disciplines needed for success. The enterprise architecture degree is not focused solely on the technocentric side of enterprise architecture; it is an interdisciplinary degree that covers business and engineering, information sciences, and project/portfolio management, offering you a broader, more comprehensive perspective.

Providing a focal point for research and education in this evolving discipline, Penn State's Center for Enterprise Architecture was launched in January 2011 and bolsters current College of Information Sciences and Technology degrees and supports the college's ongoing efforts to develop and deliver new curricula at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

In addition to the master's degree program, World Campus offers a 9-credit graduate certificate in enterprise architecture, composed of courses from the master's core curriculum. If you choose to begin with the certificate program, the credits you earn may be applied to the master's degree in enterprise architecture.

Along the way to earning a master’s degree in EA, you can further enhance your résumé by earning a certificate in project management. The 12-credit certificate uses problem-based learning to provide a strong foundation in project management theory and practice. Entry Requirements

For admission to the Graduate School, an applicant must hold either (1) a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or (2) a tertiary (postsecondary) degree that is deemed comparable to a four-year bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution. This degree must be from an officially recognized degree-granting institution in the country in which it operates.

All applicants are expected to have earned a junior/senior grade point average of 3.0 or higher. A minimum of 2 years relevant work experience is recommended.

International applicants

All international applicants must take and submit scores for the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or the IELTS (International English Language Testing System), with the exceptions noted below. The minimum acceptable score for the TOEFL is 550 for the paper-based test, or a total score of 80 with a 19 on the speaking section for the internet-based test (iBT). Applicants with iBT speaking scores between 15 and 18 may be considered for provisional admission, which requires completion of specified remedial English courses ESL 114G (American Oral English for Academic Purposes) and/or ESL 116G (ESL/Composition for Academic Disciplines) and attainment of a grade of B or higher. The minimum acceptable composite score for the IELTS is 6.5. Graduate programs may have more stringent requirements.

Our graduates will also find a distinct edge in pursuing a graduate degree in fields such as business, history, justice studies, law and public administration.

As part of the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, we offer one of the largest and strongest history programs in the country. Students can select either the United States or world as their geographic emphasis area. The curriculum is firmly based in the humanities and involves the critical, historical and comparative study of texts, practices and contexts, as well as the natural and social sciences. This is a transfer-friendly program that is ideal for students looking to complete their degree, or for those with family and career responsibilities.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must successfully complete ASU competency requirements. Admission may be granted with one deficiency in no more than two competency areas. Deficiencies cannot be in both math and laboratory science. Students must earn a minimum 2.0 in any subject area. Most competencies may also be met by test scores or college courses.

English - 4 years (composition/literature based)
Math - 4 years - Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and one course requiring Algebra II as a prerequisite.
Laboratory Science - 3 years total (1 year each from any of the following areas are accepted: Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Integrated Sciences, and Physics)
Social Science - 2 years (including one year American History)
Foreign Language - 2 years (same language)
Fine Arts - 1 year

Individual Review

All students who don’t meet the above standards will be evaluated through a process called Individual Review. Through this process Undergraduate Admissions will review all available information about a student’s application, carefully considering all aspects of a student’s academic background and accomplishments. Submission of an ACT or SAT test score is highly recommended. In some cases, additional information might be requested.
